Live Blood On The Clocktower event...coming soon to London!!!!
Well excited about this tbh, to the point where I got off my ass and started using Substack
We’re doing a live BotC event!
Treehouse (mine and Viv’s production company) in association with The Pandemonium Institute are well excited to announce a live, in-person Blood On The Clocktower event! YOU get to come and play the second-best social deduction game (after Werewolf, lol jk) with all your favourite Blood on the Clocktower players and storytellers from YouTube and Twitch! (Assuming your fave players are mainly from No Rolls Barred)
We don’t have a name for it yet. (BotC in a Castle???) Submissions welcome!
1. What is it??
Viv found a castle in South London (this place), and we’re hiring out its Great Hall to play BotC all day!
2. When is it??
Sunday 7th May! 9:30am to 4:30pm
3. Where is it??
Kingswood Arts. It’s in Dulwich, South London, (SE21 8QN) and is accessible by bus and overground. Kingswood Arts is an accessible venue.
4. What do I get??
The day will involve 3 x sessions of BotC, each roughly 1 hour 20 minutes. Each game will have 12 x players (you lot), + 1 guest player (from NRB) and a storyteller (also NRB, or Patters). Tickets include a catered lunch, and at the end of the day there will be a special EXCLUSIVE game with your fave YouTube dorks playing a very special BotC script that I really think you’ll enjoy. And it’s all IN A CASTLE.
5. Who’s going to be there?
The list of guest players (subject to change) is:
Adam
Sullivan
Holly
Laurie
Blair
Tilly
Isaac
Ken
Patters
Teri
Mara
and me! (Jon)
MORE PLAYERS TO BE ANNOUNCED SOON!
For each session, you’ll be organised into groups of 12 players, and put in a game with one NRB Storyteller (or Patters), and one NRB guest player (14 in total). After each session you’ll be paired with a different Storyteller / guest player, so you’ll get to play with 6 of us lot during the day.
Outside of games there will be some time to meet and greet, and the cast will be playing an extra special game to close things off that only you will all get to watch! It’s not being filmed or anything.
6. How much?
Tickets are £85 (plus fees). This is a really expensive day for us to put on and pay everyone and make sure the food is good (and can I emphasise again that we’re in a castle). We really want it to be as accessible to as many people as possible, so we’ve made a few other tickets available for those working on a tighter budget: we’ve allocated 10 tickets at £60 (plus fees) for those who are studying/unwaged/underemployed.
There are also four volunteer tickets - volunteers will be asked to help with some setup and admin tasks during the day but will also get to play. And finally, If there’s another way to pay that would make it easier on your budget (for example, paying in instalments or reserving a ticket now and paying later), just get in touch - we’re happy to be flexible because we want more people join in the fun.
WHEN ARE TICKETS ON SALE???
In the next couple of days! We are in Malaysia right now and the time difference is messing with the ticketing website’s head, so we will send out the booking link on this very Substack when it’s live and we will tweet it out later that day.
Main thing is you know when it is so you can get HYPE.
Make sure you sub below to get first dibs when tix become available in the next couple of days!! WEEEEEEEEE
UPDATE: Tickets will be on sale from 10am tomorrow morning (that’s Saturday 15th April, 10am UK time)
Thanks for reading my first EVER Substack, stick around for lots of thoughts on games and shit coming soon.
Stay safe, and keep away from clocktowers - they’ll get ya!
See you soon!
